Bad Day

Allison woke up suddenly as her alarm clock screamed. She glanced over at her clock and it was 7:52. She quickly got up and hurried over to the pile of clothes on the floor. She picked up a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, she hauled them on and rushed downstairs, since she was supposed to be at the bus stop by 8:00. She picked up a box of cereal and went to pour some out but found the box to be empty. She put a pop tart in to the toaster. When it popped she picked it up and saw that it was burnt. She shoved it into her mouth along with a vitamin and a glass of orange juice. She rushed back upstairs. When she squeezed the tooth paste tube, there was none left, so she ate a breath mint and rushed out the door, forgetting her science text book.

At the bus stop, the bus came just as Allison got to it. On the bus the only seat left was with Leonard Finkel, the biggest geek in school.

When she got off the bus she slipped on ice and hit her head off the bottom step.

Walking into school she realized that she had forgotten her gym clothes, so she had to sit out the whole class because it was her 5th time forgetting, and they were playing her favorite sport, basketball.

After recess she had science, Mr. Rengold had prepared an unexpected pop quiz. The quiz was open book but after searching her bookbag 3 times she realized she had forgotten her text book and had to take the quiz with what she remembered.

At lunch she saw that her mom had packed a dill pickle and anchovy sandwich before she left for work. Allison did not eat any of her lunch although she was starving.

After lunch she had French for a half an hour. French was not a subject she excelled at. In fact she hated it. She had to read from her text and did not do very well at all.

For the rest of the afternoon, she had Health. They had to read out their assignments to the class that day, and Mrs. Cobb wanted to get them all done that afternoon. Allison was the last to read and yet again she searched her bookbag but she had forgotten that important factor of the day. They had gotten 2 weeks to prepare, and so she received a D- in that subject.

At home after school she was greeted by a barking dog that had to be walked. It was very icy out and halfway around the block, her shoelace came untied. She bent down to tie it up, and her dog spotted another dog. She was dragged across the street, and even worse, it happened right in front of some guys from her school, and in front of a certain guy that she liked, Matt Knight.

When she got back she was soaked so she went to her room, peeled off her soggy clothes, put her pyjamas on and crawled into bed, missing her favorite show, the highlight of the week. "Is it my line or is it yours?" Her last thoughts were,"This was a very bad day."
