Homemade Sayings and Bottled Sayings

This project is current under construction, however it is being completed by the grade six classes.  The theme of the project is derived from the Grade Six Collections program.  When substantial information is collected, a posting will be made available.

E2 Project - Endangerd & Extinct

The purpose of this project is to allow grade four students from all our province and eventaully our country, a chance to gain valuable knowledge and an appreciation for the whole issue pertaining to endangered species around our world.

 

"One day Milo finds an enormous and mysterious package in his room.  A phantom tollboth, with a map to a weird world beyond!   So Milo sets off on a fantastic voyage in which he meets: the not so wicked Witch, Faintly Macabre, Alec Bings who sees through things, and the watchdog, Tock, who ticks"

This project is a developed theme by our grade five class, to compliment their novel study, The Phantom Tollbooth.  Here you will discover a wide variety of activities and projects completed by our grade fives, along with their completed work for this unit.

This project is in conjunction with the garde six Science, Innovations Program.  The students finished an indepth study of the SuperKid Unit and completed an online assignment, rather than an examination.  Enter here to view their posted research on various body systems.

Comic strips are a rich resource for language acquistions as wells as study of idioms and houmour.  It is also cultural tool and it provides an extensive repertoire for artististic techniques and expression.

Les bandes dessinées sont une excellente ressource quant a l'àcquisition de notions linquistiques aussi bien pour l'étude des idiomes que pour les expressions humoristiques.  Une Bédé, c'est aussi un outil culturel qui convient très bien a l'apprentissage de diverses techniques artistiques!

Pollution Solutions is about students working toward a better environment. The project includes all students from kindergarten to high school. Pollution Solutions activities cross many curriculum areas and classroom success depends on good teaching for maximum benefit. Students will come to understand that technological activity consumes resources and has consequences. Through the course of a Pollution Solutions online project activity, students investigate recycling within their own homes and communities, communicate with students across the province, and design and implement reports and solutions to environmental issues.
